Tan Family Getaway 2011

I grew up in a big extended Filipino Family.. my mom and dad has 9 other sibling and most of them are married so just imagine how big our family is.. although we are closer to my mom's side of the family because most of Papa's siblings are either in the province or in the US.

Tan family has been spending all Christmas, New year, All saints day, Summer, Fiesta, Birthdays, Weddings, Christenings together.. I'm sure there are times that we made up an occassion just so we could celebrate and have a get together. A day with the Tan Family usually consists of tawanan, iyakan, hagalpakan and most importantly, Kainan or rather LAMONan. And on Black Saturday, we celebrated the 2011 Summer in our usual way.. karaoke, food and just all day of FUN!

Anniversary

Today marks the 4th year of our relationship. Remembering 4 years ago when you were still soo much head over heels in love with me and forced me to say "yes".. haha.. 4 years ago I remember sitting at the Northgate Park, waiting for what you have to say even if you were always lost for words, hearing you stutter whenever you say " i love you"..i remember our constant movie dates, our 1:1 inuman sessions at Samurai and how you often glimpse at my station and ask Ej to let me sit beside you because I was your lucky charm..:)

It's been 4 years and things have changed. No more stammering, we seldom have movie dates or inuman sessions and most of the time you dont want me to sit beside you because you say I'm malas.. haha.. but i like it just the way it is. Im thankful for everything you've done and for all that you will still do for me.. We're not the usual sweet couple that they will encounter, but during our Buddy and Sol moments before going to bed, during those times that we're alone, you never failed to show me and shower me with your love. Thank you for always reminding me that if the time comes that we fall out of love.. just wait and don't ever give up, as we both believe that friendship is a strong foundation and only for that reason, love will always pave it's way back .. Thank you and i love you. Happy 4th Anniversary. :)

US Trip

Just After 10 days of posting my last blog ( not bad! i dont really consider "uggh" as an entry), here are just some (among the hundred) of the pics i took during my US Visit..



- Mama and Papa dropped me off at the airport teary eyed.. akala mo naman taon akong mawawala hahaha


- while waiting for our Hawaiian Airline flight.. natawa ko sa shorts ni 50+ yrs old ale... hindi kaya sya lamigin sa eroplano?? haha


- We had a one hour lay over at honolulu and here's what we ate for lunch at the plane.. akala ko makakaiwas na ko sa adobo.. hindi rin pala.. haha


- i think i already told you the story how we ended up eating cup noodles on our first night???? Bring your ID all the time!


- Stayed in a 2 bedroom Suite at Residence Inn by Mariott



- the next day right after work ( oo nagtrabaho din ako dun at hindi naglamyerda lang :) ) all i wanted and all i can think of is to go to a VS Shop.. Luckily.. our hotel is just beside Redmond Town Center ( mall ) that has a VS shop! This is heaven!!!


- Shannon ( who is my closest and one of my fave people on earth ) was generous enough to give us an all day seattle tour.. This is a pic of the very famous Space Needle ( have you watched Sleepless in Seattle? ).. Unfortunately, we weren't able to go up the space needle because of the loooong line and its kinda expensive...but just by looking at it and the main fact that you're there.. its priceless...


- one of my fave pics of all.. we arrived just in time of the start of Fall season.. look at how the leaves turns yellow.. it's beautiful..


- at the very first Starbucks ever built..


- no one on earth doesn't love TARGET!!! i want to build a house beside it!!!


- those who are familiar with the Fish Philosophy will love this pic!!!! I saw the same guys in the video!!! and some of them are really gwapo! and guess what.. THEY LET ME CATCH A FISH! AND I DID CATCH THE FISH 3 TIMES IN ROW!! WHOOHOO! shannon has the video so i have to get it from her and post it here next time!


- walked around the really pretty scenery of UW ( Univ of Wa ) on a Sunday Morning..


- and lastly, the main reason of my visit, the CSG Hosting Team, the team I love and cherish and people who've become really true friends even if we're thousand miles away..

Uggh

Uggh, I only have 2 posts in this blog so far and i "accidentally" deleted the very first one ( Titled Learning - posted last year )! GRRR!!! Now I guess the subject on my previous posts "Start Anew" turns out to be true....


Oh well, moving forward... news posts coming up really really soon!

Start Anew

The last time i wrote an entry on this blog was 9 months ago ( Yes, 9 mos and that was my first entry ever ). If only this blogsite can speak, it will for sure loathe me.
Taking care of the family, my job, my new dogs ( venus and mars - they are adorable! ) took up all my time and totally forgot the promise i made to myself to get serious about writing.

But today, I am renewing my vows to this blog. I Promise (oh boy!) to spend all the etxra time i have to keep this up to date , put all my happy (and sometimes sad) thoughts into writing, and just have faith in myself that i can keep up to this promise this time! :)

So where do i start? Since 2011 has started ( 4 months ago lol ).. i want to go back time and reminisce one of the most unforgettable moment of 2010 ( or i could say my whole life )..my very first ( hope not the last! ) visit to the United States..

Trip to the US

Oh this defintely made my 2010 really memorable! I will always be thankful and lucky to be given a once in a lifetime chance to visit the US of A! There's a lot to say and pictures to share which i guess i should put in another entry, but here are some of the reasons why I'm wishing, praying and hoping to be back: Visiting our headquarters in Redmond, WA and meeting the GREAT people I work with everyday( who i only get to talk thru IM )in person, getting Id'd when we tried to dine at "Matador" on our very first night - (just so you all know, when going to bars or buying cigaretts in the US, do not forget to bring an ID or passport, they will always ask for one even if you already look older than 21) and ended up eating cup noodles instead haha,getting chills due to the cold weather, Shopping at Target, touring the different cities, get to eat rice only once a day (many thanks to Residence Inn by Marriott for our complimentary breakfast which includes rice), our PG (patay gutom) moment at Claim Jumper, converting each and every dollar I spent into pesos, J Michaels', burgers of Red Robin, visit to the Microsoft Office at Lincoln Square, meeting some great people at MSFT, lunch with Deniz and Juhli, dinner with Paul and Renee ( our clients ), walking around the really pretty scenery of UW (Univ of WA), Friday Night at Fremont, watch football in a bar ( which i only get to see in TV hehe) and a lot lot more. As I've said, I have to do a separate entry for this topic so I could share pictures as well... watch out for that! :)

Okay.. so this I can feel is definitely a good start.. focus focus focus and in no time.. I'll have hundreds of entries and loads of memories to share! YEY!
